Student Leadership
Rebel pride can be felt in every aspect of student life at JP. Celebrating that feeling of camaraderie strengthens relationships among staff, students at all grade levels, and our surrounding community.
You are invited to participate in a variety of school spirit activities hosted by the Student Leadership Team throughout the year, starting with the excitement of Spirit Week and a Welcome Back barbeque. Later in the year, you can belt out a tune at Christmas Karaoke, use your charm to help raise funds for the Terry Fox Run, or try out your rocket arm at Dodgeball Mania in the spring!
Commit to a level of involvement that works best for you. If your schedule allows, you can even be part of the team that coordinates these activities, motivating and inspiring your fellow JP Rebels while earning credits. Leadership 15-25-35 offers full credits, as well as an exceptional opportunity for Grade 10 students to join Grade 11 and 12 mentors in the development of interpersonal, project management, and problem solving, and leadership skills. (Not to mention that commitment to service and leadership don't hurt when you're applying for scholarships!)
The connections you make with your fellow Rebels through participation in clubs and activities will be some of the longest lasting memories of your high school years, so get involved!
