Career Centre

At the beginning of each year, you will be paired with a support team comprised of an Assistant Principal and a Student Services counselor. Support teams help each student develop creative solutions for healthy life choices and academic success, including advice on building an educational plan, assistance with the development of study skills and attendance.

The Career Centre is designed to assist you in deciding what you want to do after high school, where you want to go and how you are going to finance your post-secondary choice.  Students are encouraged to spend time in the Career Centre attending the lunch time, "Cool Jobs" speaker series. Volunteers from the community and post secondary institutions give their time to talk to our students about their education/career paths, what makes them passionate about their work, wages, job market, pros/cons, etc.  Check out JPTV for a full list of upcoming "Cool Jobs" speakers.  High School Student Advisors from NAIT and MacEwan meet individually with students and or parents in the Career Centre to discuss and answer questions regarding entrance requirements, tuition, application procedure, etc.  The Career Centre has a wealth of material for students seeking information on scholarships, bursaries and other forms of financing post-secondary studies. The Career Centre is located in Student Services.
